So this comes very late. The third round of Zerotohundred.com’s TimetoAttack Sepang happened at the end of October, but due to my overwhelming schedule I’ve only had time to post this now! Nevertheless, better late than never! The amount of participants during the event was immense; this picture does not even begin to describe the overall atmosphere at the event. It was a great mixture of old and new, with different degrees of modification and a whole lotta love for cars.

I arrived at Sepang at an unearthly hour, while the entire track was still peaceful. Later on in the morning, the HPD track day went underway, as well as some performance BMW driver training by a local BMW dealership called Quill Motorsports. Or something. The HPD track day featured some really interesting cars!

There was this soccer-mum Volvo 850 wagon ripping up the track with its FF turbo platform! I bet you didn’t know that these exact touring wagons used to compete in the British Touring Car Championship back in the day! Wagons are cool.

It seems like the FD2R is seriously making its way to becoming a track star. Later on during the time attack session the FD2R was owning the timesheets! Here’s another Championship White Malaysian example tearing up the start/finish straight.

There were also the usual track attack favourites like the Mitsubishi Evo. But because we were in Malaysia, there were MANY variants. There was even an Evo III going at it, and so many other versions you’d never see on the roads in Singapore!

The HPD track day lasted up to lunch. After that, the time attack would begin! I’ll post more about that tomorrow!
